About Us

iEATbooks is run by a group of book lovers from all over the United States. We each have a different point of view and our own take on what makes a good book. Each review posted on this page is the unique opinion of the review author, and not the entire group.

Mike Lawson hates writing in the third-person. He has some journalism experience, but spends all of his days now working for a youth-serving non-profit in Tempe, Arizona. He is a Type 1, insulin-dependent diabetic and he likes watching ice-skaters fall. Once upon a time he said that his favorite author was Joan Didion, but he’s slowly realizing that he doesn’t have a favorite author and just likes all books. Follow Mike on Twitter: @mrmikelawson

Brandy Deming is enjoying the quiet country life in the foothills of the Cascades. A second generation bibliophile, books are as vital to her as the air she breathes. When not reading, she spends her time with her family and running her home-based business. With the attention span of a cricket and an appetite for all things interesting, you are likely to find her at art shows, hiking in the woods, medieval fairs or monster truck rallies. You can follow her on Facebook.

Katie Swanlund is taller than you might think. She likes thinking in Spanish and stepping outside of her comfort zone. She has recently started a small vegetable gardening business in Seattle, WA. The power of fiction compels her.

A part-time librarian in Aurora, Megan’s day job consists of chasing around her two munchkins. Any free time that miraculously appears is promptly sucked away by a bookstore or a local library. Apparently she’s in the right profession.

Nels Thoreson is a nomadic wanderer that likes to write, and likes to read. Thus, writing about reading is a great combination of the two. He hopes to get his hands on some good books, and get the word out, so their words can find other reader’s eyes. The road of life is an adventure of madness, and so it continues…

Tori McDonough is a full time student in Seattle, Washington, but doesn’t let that interfere with her reading. On the rare occasion that she tears herself away from the latest vampire novel, she might be out running, playing computer games, or searching for the perfect piece of chocolate, but ALWAYS has a book (or three) in her purse. John Murray lives in Southern California. He is a full-time student and voracious reader, anything and everything is far game. Like how a shark has to stay mobile, John stays literate to stay alive.
